Hart picks up 17 delegates from victory in Arizona

Democratic Party officials here awarded 17 delegates Sunday to Sen. Gary Hart , who received 46 percent of the votes in Arizona's caucuses to select representatives to the presidential nominating convention.

Former Vice-President Walter Mondale received 15 delegates on the basis of 40 percent of the vote, and Jesse Jackson received 14 percent of the vote and one delegate.

The delegate count was announced with 95 percent of the vote in from the state's 95 districts.
