Mondale swamps Hart in Wisconsin caucuses

Walter Mondale swamped Gary Hart Saturday, winning 46 of 78 delegates at stake Saturday in Wisconsin's first caucuses - although the senator from Colorado won the nonbinding ''beauty contest'' primary Tuesday.

Nearly final Wisconsin Democratic Party returns, projected to national delegates, showed that Mondale won 46 delegates, Hart 25, and Jackson 5. Two delegates will be determined depending on what deals are made at May 5 congressional caucuses.
