Argentina junta is indicted in Mrs. Peron's overthrow

The military junta that toppled the civilian government of Isabel Peron in 1976 has been indicted by a federal appeals court for rebellion. The three members of the junta - former Army commander and President Jorge Videla, former Navy commander Emilio Massera, and former Air Force commander Orlando Agosti - could face three to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Legal sources said the case would be seen as a test of the right of Argentina's armed forces to rebel against civilian authority.
