Bush says threat of A-war has declined under Reagan

Vice-President George Bush, on a campaign swing through the South, accused the Democratic presidential candidates Thursday of ''trying to scare the American people about nuclear war'' and said President Reagan has made nuclear confrontation less likely.

In a speech to Florida Republican leaders, Mr. Bush also said President Reagan has a better chance of achieving an agreement on nuclear arms with the Soviets than others, ''because he's dealing from strength, not weakness.''
