Train collision in Texas kills four crewmembers

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a train accident Saturday that killed four train crewmen and seriously injured another. The accident occurred when a Southern Pacific Railroad switch engine ran into a line of 41 freight cars standing on a track in Baytown, 10 miles east of here. The switch engine was in a 20-mile-per-hour zone on a straight line track, and sources at the scene said the engineer should have been able to see the standing cars in time to stop.
