Murdoch buying syndicate and Chicago Sun-Times

Add one more newspaper to publisher Rupert Murdoch's collection. A $90 million bid from News America Publishing Inc. to buy the Chicago Sun-Times and Field Newspaper Syndicate for $90 million was accepted Tuesday. Murdoch's News Corporation Ltd., News America's parent company, owns more than 80 newspapers, including The Times (London) and the New York Post.

Mr. Murdoch has assured the owners that he will continue to publish the paper in substantially its present form.
