4 S. African students dead after violence at university

Four students at the black University of Zululand in northern Natal died as a result of campus clashes Saturday with supporters of a Zulu political group, a local hospital official said Sunday. The violence flared as the Zulu Inkatha organization held a campus rally addressed by its leader, Chief Gatsha Buthelezi , who has been accused of being a puppet of South Africa in his role as chief minister of the Zulu tribal homeland.
