Jordan's envoy to Italy wounded outside Rome

The Jordanian ambassador to Italy was shot and wounded Wednesday while driving near his embassy, police said. They said two men had been detained after the incident in the Rome suburb of Parioli. The shooting of Taysir Alaedin Toukan comes a day after a similar attack on Jordan's ambassador to India in New Delhi. A hospital spokesman there said Muhammad Ali Khurme was recovering from his wounds.
