Pigeon-holed me

October 19, 1983

They call me an Anglo-Saxon, middle-aged woman, With brownish-red hair. I live in a semi-rural area in my two-story house, With its two-car garage. I'm a member of the college-educated group and Am a political middle-of-the-roader. I'm in the middle-income bracket and I drive An American-made car. I shop at discount-department stores, Using cents-off coupons. I'm married to a white-collar worker, And I read self-help books. I'm going through a mid-life crisis, And I've just discovered why. May I speak matter-of-factly? I've been hyphenated!
