Thousands homeless in Arizona flooding

Thousands of people were homeless Monday from three days of flooding that inundated houses, ''melted'' an adobe village, and washed away a mining town. The runoff from a five-day storm broke an earthen dam, sending floodwaters into downtown Willcox, 80 miles northeast of Tucson. Ten people have been killed since the flooding began. Arizona Gov. Bruce Babbitt declared a state of emergency to obtain government aid for the victims.
