A remedy for silverfish

September 30, 1983

To the real estate editor: Noting the query about a reader who seems to be having trouble with silverfish, I may be able to help.

I live in an old Colonial home built in 1766. After the house came to me - and was at that time only occupied during the summer months - when I left one fall, I sprinkled naphthalene flakes on the floor of every room. To my surprise and delight, I have never seen a silverfish since then. I also know this works in the case of places infested with fleas.

I hope this may be of assistance to you. M. P. Friend Dennis, Mass.
