The discovery of 8,000-year-old clay statues on the outskirts of Amman may mean the Jordanian capital is one of the world's oldest cities. Four life-size statues were among artifacts uncovered recently at the Zerka River neolithic village of Ein Ghazzal, which dates from the seventh millenium BC.
