Shagari party appears victor in Nigeria voting

Nigeria's ruling party appeared headed toward an overwhelming majority in the National Assembly after more results of last weekend's election for a new House of Representatives were announced. With 260 seats declared by Tuesday, the National Party of Nigeria, led by President Shehu Shagari, had 172 members in the National Assembly's new 450-member lower house.
