Lawyers' group to address tax credits issue

On the eve of President Reagan's scheduled appearance today before the American Bar Association, ABA's board of governors passed along ''without recommendation'' to the full house of delegates here a resolution denouncing tax credits or tuition reimbursements for those attending nonpublic schools.

Evidently the lawyers' governing board felt this issue was too hot to handle, reports Monitor correspondent Curtis J. Sitomer. A heated battle is expected by some when the resolution is debated on the floor later this week. Mr. Reagan has repeatedly urged congressional adoption of tax credits for parents of students attending private schools.
