The Navy is casting a wide net over the East, West, and Gulf Coasts of the US in a search for new home ports to disperse the battleships, aircraft carriers, and escort vessels entering the fleet in the next decade. The goal: to find accommodations that will not crowd all the Navy's assets together into one target.
