The Canadian government's decision to allow testing of the US cruise missile brought 300 anti-cruise demonstrators out into the streets of Regina, capital of Saskatchewan. Some politicians criticized the government for allowing the tests before making certain that any crashes by the unarmed missiles would not jeopardize people living along the flight path in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, or the Northwest Territories.
