A lavish, exuberant season at the Oregon Shakespearean Festival; 'Ah Wilderness!'

July 14, 1983

Jerry Turner's mellow, almost leisurely production of Eugene O'Neill's uncharacteristic ''Ah, Wilderness!,'' a nostalgic family comedy set in a turn-of-the-century never-never land, plays a little like a superlative episode of ''Father Knows Best.''

Orton's ''What the Butler Saw'' is also currently on the boards, and later in the season ''Richard Sharp's ''Dracula'' and ''Dreamhouse,'' written by a member of the festival's acting company, will be offered.
