Nicaraguan rebel leader Eden Pastora Gomez said he may have laid down his arms temporarily, but he has not quit his struggle to topple the Sandinista government. This was the radio message from Pastora, better known as Commander Zero, from what he described as ''the mountains of Nicaragua.'' Earlier reports from the region said Pastora would lay down his arms after waging a 53-day rebellion. Pastora claimed his ranks had swollen so quickly he had insufficient weapons for his men.
