AT THE ZOO

It must have been a little boy like the one in the corner below who, in a time long since gone by, spoke an American folk rhyme that goes: 'I asked my mother for 15 cents, to see the elephant jump the fence. He jumped so high he touched the sky, and never came back 'til the Fourth of July.' Here are several scenes from American zoos as those hot days of summer once again begin to move across the country.
