Swaziland arrested two members of the African National Congress (ANC) after police found an arms cache near the capital, Mbabane. Political observers said the arrests indicated Swaziland's determination to prevent the rebel group from using its territory to launch attacks against South Africa. Earlier, South Africa had raided ANC bases in Mozambique in retaliation for a guerrilla bombing.
