Democratic officials charged Republicans with planning a dirty trick - jamming the telephone lines for the party's Memorial Day weekend telethon. The officials released copies of a cable from the Republican National Committee chairman that urged Republicans to call the toll-free number and voice support for President Reagan. A Republican spokesman denied the attempt was to sabotage the event.
