Guerrillas attack suburb of Kampuchean capital

Guerrillas recently attacked a suburb of Phnom Penh, foreign medical workers said. The attack on Tagmao was the the closest to the capital since Kampuchea's former rulers, the Peking-backed Khmer Rouge, were ousted in 1979 by Vietnam's invasion. The medical workers blamed the assault on the Khmer Rouge, which is now fighting a guerrilla war from bases on the country's western border with Thailand. Some diplomats suggested that the guerrillas might have decided to use terror tactics to unsettle the Vietnamese.
