Arafat says he'll resume talks with Hussein

April 14, 1983

Palestine Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat said he was ready to resume talks with King Hussein of Jordan on President Reagan's Mideast peace plan.

After meeting Nordic Social Democratic leaders here, he said the PLO leadership would hold a full meeting on the interrupted talks, probably in Tunisia. He also said a PLO envoy was already in Amman, and another would go there tomorrow to cooperate with Jordanian officials.
