USSR warns W. Germany not to deploy US missiles

The Soviet Union sternly warned West Germans that it would retaliate if they went ahead with plans to deploy US missiles. Reacting sharply to Sunday's victory of Chancellor Helmut Kohl, the Soviet news agency Tass declared the missile deployment would ''complicate the entire complex of relations between West Germany and the Soviet Union.'' The White House, meanwhile, has decided to give top-level consideration to arms control.
