UN chief takes big two to task for arms buildup

UN Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar indirectly took both superpowers to task on the current nuclear arms race. In his address to the Committee on Disarmament in Geneva, he stressed dangers represented by new and more accurate missiles, reports Monitor correspondent Louis Wiznitzer. Presumably this includes the Pershing II, to be installed in Europe this year by NATO, and the Soviet SS-20.
