Key Afghan rebel leader reported killed in battle

An important Afghan rebel leader was killed while fighting government troops Tuesday in Afghanistan's Nangarhar Province, bordering Pakistan, resistance sources said Thursday.
They said Comdr. Abdur Rahman was killed leading an attack on Afghan military headquarters at Mueenkhel, 45 miles west of the provincial capital of Jalalabad. Commander Rahman was a former captain in the Afghan Army.
