Spain OKs plan to reopen the border with Gibraltar

Spain's new Socialist government approved a plan Tuesday to reopen the border with Gibraltar to pedestrian traffic, Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez said.

Mr. Gonzalez, speaking at a news conference after the first Cabinet meeting, did not say when the gates at the crossing point at La Linea would be opened.
