Defector from Chinese mainland arrives in Taiwan

A defecting Communist Chinese Air Force pilot arrived in Taipei from South Korea saying he has hated Communist rule since childhood and is happy to have reached his ''mother country'' of Taiwan.

Capt. Wu Yung-ken flew his MIG-19 fighter to Seoul two weeks ago from his reconnaissance unit in eastern Shandong Province.
