James W. Lewis named as 'lead' in Tylenol case

October 20, 1982

Investigators in the Tylenol case have named a ''primary lead'': James W. Lewis.

A picture taken by a drugstore security camera shows a man resembling the fugitive, who is wanted for questioning, watching the purchase of a bottle of Tylenol. Mr. Lewis, originally Theodore Elmer Wilson, was already named in a federal warrant for a $1 million extortion plot. He has previously been charged with murder.
