In a story Oct. 14, on prospects for economic recovery based on the recent performance of the stock market, the name of a source was inadvertently omitted from that person's statement. The opinion that recovery won't come until 1984 should have been attributed to Allen Sinai of Data Resources. ''The market fully understands the recovery over the next six to nine months will be anemic,'' he said, ''and is looking a good deal into the future. We expect a solid recovery in 1984.''
