Soviet team to stay on for Peking diplomatic talks

A high-ranking Soviet negotiating team will remain in Peking indefinitely for talks on normalizing Chinese-Soviet ties chilled for the past two decades, a Soviet source said.

Word that talks will continue in Peking before moving to Moscow followed Sunday's announcement by Chinese Communist Party leader Hu Yaobang that the two longtime adversaries agreed to resume formal negotiations suspended in 1979.
