Chinese Air Force pilot defects to S. Korea

A Chinese Air Force captain defected to South Korea in a MiG-19 with Chinese fighter planes in hot pursuit, a spokesman for the US-South Korean Combined Forces Command said.

It was the first recorded case of a member of the Chinese military forces defecting to this country since the 1950-53 Korean war.
