Breakfast bread

Use a loaf of fresh French bread and spread it with this sweet filling for breakfast: Beat together 1/3 cup each packed brown sugar; butter or margarine, softened; honey; 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon; a dash of nutmeg. Add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

Cut 1-pound loaf French bread into 16 slices, retaining shape. Spread mixture on one side of each slice and over top of reassembled loaf. On baking sheet, set loaf on length of aluminum foil. Wrap, leaving top uncovered. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
