China's Communisit Party to keep control of military

China's Communist Party will continue to control the armed forces despite the planned setup of a new state military council, according to leading Chinese Marxist theoretician Hu Qiaomu.

Mr. Hu, who drafted the new party constitution and was just promoted to the Politburo, said members of the party's Military Affairs Commission could be members of the state military council at the same time.
