Photo tour of Wright's architecture; Frank Lloyd Wright, by Thomas A. Heinz. New York: St. Martin's Press. 96 pp.

September 10, 1982

This book displays the architect's most handsome and notable buildings from Wright's earliest efforts in the late 19th century to his ultimately modern work in the 1950s, the Guggenheim Museum. The author's comments open the book, leaving the 80 pages of vivid photos uninterrupted by text. The result is visually pleasing though awkward to use. Interior shots illustrate how Wright commonly filled his buildings with furniture and decorative art glass panels. Exterior shots show how he related his buildings to surrounding terrain.
