A US Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a new dress code for cars. The Washington, D.C., court ordered the Reagan administration to reimpose regulations requiring US automakers to outfit cars rolling off the assembly line after Sept. 1, 1983, with automatic seat belts or air bags. The automakers said they doubt they can meet the deadline.
