Friends

We do not choose life because we are afraid of death, but because we are in love with life. We do not choose light because like timid children we are afraid of dark, but because we exalt in light, adoring the warmth of resplendent light. We do not embrace the transient paths of earth, giving our souls to unsettled dust because we are strangers on heaven's shore, but because we are here. We love God's world the more. We are friends.
