Senate rejects cuts in foreign aid funds

The Senate defeated Democratic attempts to cut $2.1 billion from proposed foreign aid next year and about $7 billion over the next three years, and rejected a plan to provide the Environmental Protection Agency with an additional $100 million next year and $600 million over three years.
