Sultan of Oman, in Egypt, brings hope for Arab unity

President Hosni Mubarak conferred with Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman on prospects for Egyptian reconciliation with the rest of the Arab world now that the Sinai Peninsula has been recovered from Israel.

After the 2 1/2 hour meeting, a presidential aide said the two leaders discussed the Middle East situation in general and restoration of Palestinian rights.
