The Soviet Union pledged to help Nicaragua prospect for mineral resources and develop its mining industry under a bilateral agreement announced here on the second day of a visit to Moscow by Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega Saavedra. He met President Leonid Brezhnev Tuesday.
