A S. African party leader defects to right-wing unit

The chairman of South Africa's ruling National Party Parliamentary Caucus, Hans Schoeman, became the 17th member of Parliament to join the new right-wing Conservative Party headed by a rebel former Cabinet Minister, Andries Treurnicht.
