Philippine guerrillas kill 14 soldiers in ambushes

Communist guerrillas killed 14 soldiers and policemen in two separate ambushes in the Philippines, according to military sources. They said six policemen and a militiaman were killed when their patrol jeep was ambushed. Seven members of a 10-man Army patrol were reported killed in another attack. The guerrillas are believed to be members of the New People's Army.
