Supreme Court rejects Clean Air Act challenge

The Supreme Court refused to take up a challenge to the Clean Air Act. The justices left intact a decision upholding the Environmental Protection Agency's standards for ozone pollution and refused to hear an appeal by the American Petroleum Institute and the city of Houston which claimed the EPA's limits on ozone -- caused mainly by automobiles -- are too stringent.
