The Nestle company has received plenty of criticism for its promotion methods as the world's largest supplier of infant formula in developing countries. It should get attention now that it has agreed to comply with a United Nations code to encourage breast feeding and reduce misuse of infant formula in such countries. This is the code voted against by the United States when it passed overwhelmingly last year. Nestle's action is a better response.
