Sandinistas close down Nicaraguan newspaper

The leftist Sandinista regime closed a pro-government newspaper for one day for printing what it called a false account of its new emergency powers.
El Nuevo Diario published in its Tuesday edition an article headlined ''State of Siege'' in which it described the new powers assumed Monday by the Sandinista government.
