'Inadvertent' release of papers to author

The Justice Department said it has talked with the author of a forthcoming book about the National Security Agency who obtained documents under the Freedom of Information Act. The book that alleges Britain and the US monitored international telex traffic of anti-Vietnam war protesters.

A spokesman refused to say if the government planned to take any legal action to stop publication of the book, terming release of the sensitive information ''inadvertent.''
