Atlantic Richfield to stop accepting credit cards

The Atlantic Richfield Company next month will stop accepting its 3 million Arco credit cards from customers, a move the company hopes will lower gasoline prices by 3 cents a gallon. Arco said the credit card system, which will be abandoned April 15, cost the company about $73 million last year.
