Missing Polish director reappears in Paris

Andrzej Wajda, the internationally acclaimed Polish film director who disappeared after martial law was declared in Poland Dec. 13, arrived with his wife in Paris from Warsaw, sources at Orly International Airport said.

''I can't make any political statement. I am happy to be in France,'' the sources quoted Mr. Wajda as saying. He was criticized in the Polish press Jan. 12 and Western correspondents in Warsaw speculated that he was under arrest.
