Cost of flying across U.S drops again in fare war

The escalating air fare war brought another drop in the cost of transcontinental travel. Trans World Airlines announced a $149 one-way ticket and Continental Airlines is offering a $258 round-trip fare.

Both reductions are effective through March 31.
