Arab finance chiefs meet to set up common market

Finance ministers of six Arab oil-producing states in the Persian Gulf met Wednesday to discuss how to set up an Arab version of the European Community to integrate the area economically.

An agreement under discussion by the finance ministers was concluded by the six heads of state at a summit conference in November.
